Fixture IDs, gameweeks, kick-off times and final scores are taken from the current verified provider feed, not inferred from a prediction.
Data and editorial standards
The Magic Sponge combines live Premier League information with pre-match analysis. This page explains what is automated, what is locked, what is published as a factual record and how to report a correction.
A complete pre-match snapshot can refresh before the lock window, then remains frozen. It is not recalculated after kick-off.
A completed match without a genuine locked pre-match record is labelled accordingly and excluded from prediction accuracy.
What this site is for
The Match Centre is designed to help Premier League followers explore fixtures, current team context, available data and the site’s own pre-match analysis. It is not a betting service and its predictions are informational rather than guarantees.
Waiver Arena is a separate fantasy-league administration product. Its draws and competition outcomes are clearly labelled as seeded fantasy simulation, not real football results.
How football records are handled
Fixtures and final scores
Current fixtures, gameweek grouping and final scores are displayed only from the live provider path used by the Match Centre. The site does not turn a predicted scoreline into a final result.
Player and availability information
Player panels and availability labels are shown only when the relevant source data is present. Missing or unavailable source data is shown as unavailable rather than being filled with a guess.
Corrections
If an official score, fixture or player event changes, the record can be corrected from the verified source. Send a correction request through Contact with the match, issue and supporting source.
How the prediction record works
Before a match
Pre-match analysis uses the currently available fixture, form, roster and availability inputs. A visitor should treat it as a point-in-time assessment, not a promise of an outcome.
At the lock window
A full prediction snapshot is written to the durable results ledger ten minutes before the official kick-off. It includes the selection, probabilities, expected score and supported player or set-piece panels.
After kick-off
The locked snapshot cannot be rewritten. Results compares that stored record with the verified final score. If no authentic snapshot exists, the result stays visible but does not count for or against accuracy.
Score records are not feature reporting
The score-record directory provides short, source-labelled confirmations of verified final scores. These records are useful for navigation and history, but they are not presented as original match reporting, tactical analysis or player commentary.
Any future editorial analysis should add a clear point of view or explanation beyond the score feed, identify its author or responsible team, state the evidence used and distinguish confirmed facts from opinion. We will not publish automated text merely to create more pages.

Transparency
When a page is automated, uses a provider feed or is a seeded fantasy simulation, the site says so. We keep source labels and the distinction between factual records and analysis visible to readers.
